LaurenLauren has been practicing and studying Pilates for over 9 years. Growing up in New Jersey, Lauren has always strived to live an active lifestyle through different types of fitness training. After learning about the benefits of Pilates, Lauren decided to try it and was hooked after just one mat class. Providing an escape from her stressful and demanding career in the Finance industry, Pilates gave Lauren a chance to mobilize her spine and just breathe. Dedicated practice of Pilates has given Lauren killer core strength, a strong sense of body awareness, and the flexibility she always desired. After leaving her Finance job behind, Lauren pursued her dream of teaching Pilates.

Completing 600+ hours of training, Lauren received her Pilates mat and full apparatus certification from the prestigious Kane School of Core Integration training under founder Kelly Kane. She is also certified in Balanced Body’s Bodhi Suspension System. In addition to teaching at Kure, Lauren is an instructor at Kinected Pilates Center in NYC where she is also a Teacher Trainer for the Kane School.

With a strong interest in anatomy and biomechanics, Lauren continues to study and deepen her knowledge of the Pilates method. Most notably, Lauren has completed the world-renowned Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injuries (FAMI) course at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Additionally, Lauren has taken various workshops including Understanding Scoliosis with Kuan Hui Chew, Pilates through Pregnancy with Deb Goodman and Applied Biomechanics at Elevate Cooperative. Lauren is also currently enrolled in the Residency Program at Kinected being mentored by Matt McCulloch, studio co-founder and Kane School co-director.

Lauren has been a committed instructor at Kure since it’s storefront inauguration in August 2014 and is excited to share her love of Pilates and is dedicated to helping her clients achieve strong healthy bodies!
